
About Loan
Loan (pronounced Lwaan) has over 20 years experience working in a therapeutic capacity. Her interest in integration and a holistic way of working with people began with Rolfing. She trained as a Rolfer and Rolf Movement Practitioner in 1989. Click here to know more about Rolfing. She brings many years of careful observation of the body and skilful touch to her Hakomi Practice.
She has been practising mindfulness for over thirty years and is a certified Hakomi Practitioner with the Hakomi Education Network, the professional body which trains Hakomi practitioners worldwide. She is also a member of the Body Psychotherapy Network (BPN) and the Black and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN).

She is of Vietnamese origin and is inspired and thankful to Thích Nhất Hạnh for his mindfulness teachings.
She has a particular interest in the arts and migrant experience, having been born in Saigon and growing up in the UK since the early sixties.

She is nourished by life long learning in a range of spheres which reflect her professional and cultural interests:
she holds a certificate in the 'Decolonising Therapy,' Introduction to Counselling course with BAATN (Black and Asian Therapy Network) has completed a training with Wisdom of the Body, a Hakomi approach to healing trauma
attends regular peer, and trainer, Hakomi supervision sessions
is studying Vietnamese with the Vietnamese Family Partnership
has completed a training in film festival curation
